So many things have FALLEN OUT OF USE over the years:

  • Dial phones;
  • Beepers;
  • VHS players;
  • loads of other pieces of technology!

Is the American expression to FALL OUT OF USE only limited to outdated technology that’s been replaced by more advanced gadgets?

Not at all!

You can use this phrase whenever you mention just about ANYTHING that’s not being used anymore:

  • Certain language (you rarely hear people saying “You rock!” to each other nowadays);
  • Fashion items and haircuts (even 15 years ago people had haircuts no-one would ever think of having today!);
  • Just about ANYTHING you can think of!
